CASTRO SUITES is within walking distance to a diverse number of bus, subway and trolley lines, and there are maps provided for this, and for getting around in general. Thanks to good public transportation and taxis, renting (hiring) a car is not a necessity for city use. However, street parking is usually possible within a block or two of the house, and there is a commercial garage close by. Street parking permits are available from the D.M.V. Within a few blocks walk is a variety of restaurants, clubs, shops, groceries, and the historic Castro Theater.

Your hosts, Joel & Sam, the owners, are conversant in French, Italian, Spanish and American! They are knowledgeable about San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, and can make reservations for you, recommend restaurants, places to go, areas to avoid, provide sightseeing ideas; and, they could even stock the refrigerator for you with some advance notice!
